Attitude of care towards nature, including water resources is strategically important for company. Closed cycle principle is applied in the Complex Water supply and Sewerage system. Waste water is sent to the own waste water treatment facilities for deep purification and then back to process for refilling of circulating and firefighting water supply systems.

Water treatment. Circulating water supply.

Circulating water supply – is the method to save fresh water, prevent water body pollution and it is designed for rational water use.

Complex Water block consists of several compact ventilation cooling towers made by SPIG (Italy). At the present time the most of Refinery cooling towers provide cooling of water only on 6–8 °Ñ. Complex cooling towers can ensure cooling of water on 10–14 °Ñ which allows decrease water flow rate in 1,5 times as opposed to ordinary cooling towers and therefore ensure energy saving to the amount of 0,5 to 1,5 mln. KWh per 1 mln. tons of refined oil.

SPIG fan capacity 1,5 times higher than conventional one that ensure low energy consumption. High power and effective antiicing systems, cold resistance and life duration of all parts, high quality of equipment imply minimum need of shut down for maintenance. Complete lack of corrosion both of the structure and of internal parts of the cooling tower also allow save resources sufficiently. Water loss outside the cooling tower totals only 0.001%, that increase company ecological and economical efficiency.

Circulating water supply systems, technology and program of cooling water reactant treatment developed by GE ensure fresh water consumption in the amount of 3% from the total water consumption, at the same time the part of circulating water supply totals 97 %.

Water treatment. Chemical water treatment.

Complex Chemical water treatment and condensate polishing is also an example of attempt to rational use of natural resources. Chemical water treatment and condensate polishing unit is designed to produce desalted water of high quality, treat and desalt the industrial condensate. In the chemical water treatment process both Russian conventional water treatment equipment and GE modern membrane technology of water ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis and water electro-deionisation are applied. In whole the design of demineral water preparation and condensate polishing process is developed by «VNIIAM» (Moscow). This design is unique and has been implemented in a single copy in Russia.

For production of demineral water both fresh water and turbine and suspect condensate from production are used. During desalting process wastes from each and following stages goes back to the previous. Thus, as opposed to the conventional technologies where number of wastes to be discharged to sewerage systems totals about 25% from the total amount of water to be desalted, in this case it is 5-10 %.

Contaminated condensate from the Complex is treated on the sorption filters and sent back to be used as fresh water for needs of production. Thus there is practically no waste water during water treatment process.

Waste Water Treatment Facilities.

Barrier function of waste water treatment facilities in decrease of anthropogenic load on nature should also be considered. Waste Water Treatment is designed for intake of all waste waters. Design capacity of the facilities is 36 000 cubic meters per day.

Waste water treatment facilities are located on the same Site together with the main production units and contaminated industrial waste waters are not shipped for a long distances, thus the risk of emergency rupture of chemically contaminated sewage pipeline is excluded and consequently, soil, water body and atmospheric pollution on the territory of Nizhnekamsk municipal district are also excluded.

Each type of Complex waste waters has its own sewage system and own treatment blocks:

- Neutral, oil containing and storm waters (System I) go through preliminary treatment block, physical-and-chemical treatment and biological treatment;

- Saline, acid and alkali oil containing wastes (System II) go through special preliminary treatment, physical-and-chemical treatment and biological treatment;

- Storm waters from unbuilt area (System III) go through preliminary treatment and then together with the wastes of System I go to biological treatment;

- Utility sewage (system IV) goes through preliminary treatment and then together with System II goes to biological treatment.

Complex Waste Water treatment facilities combine modern waste water treatment technologies of well-known Russian and international companies: «AWAS», «GE», «Flottveg», NPO «LIT», PP "TECO-FILTER" and others. Group of conventional and latest methods of waste water treatment are applied, such as membrane bioreactors - Zenon-GE Wend PT technology, reverse osmosis, sorption, ultraviolet water purifier. Thanks to this our Waster water treatment facilities have no parallel in Russia and occupy the space is 8 times smaller in comparison with traditional layout.

Waste water treatment technologies applied ensure return of 75-80% of purified water to the process, fresh water consumption economy equals to– 33,5%, approximate economy in monetary terms totals – 182 mln. rub. per year.

Complex units are equipped with instrument water flow rate and wastes expenditure records, metering stations are furnished by Yokogawa electromagnetic flow-meters. Pump station which supply water for Complex is equipped with Group control system (frequency regulators) to control water supply in automatic mode and accordingly use the water resources rationally.

To print
