In December, 2009 OJSC TANECO won a National Environmental Award – the only Russian award for achievements in ecology and contribution to sustainable development – in nomination City Environment, for development and implementation of common sanitary protection zone of Nizhnekamsk industrial hub. This event was very important for the company, as it confirmed the correctness of the chosen direction to long-term sustainable development.

ECO leader and Man and Nature contest award ceremony was held on September 30, 2010 in Kazan. OJSC TANECO was awarded a winner among all Russian companies in nomination For Implementation of Technologies of Waste Collection and Utilization, Resource-saving and Environment Friendly Technologies.

Stability does not mean the absence of growth. Understanding the necessity of interrelated social-economic and ecological development is the base of sustainable development concept. Not only economical growth is important but also balanced and dual development of economy and ecology. OJSC TANECO keeps to this position.
